Where we are now

The most important people at St Luke’s Home are the residents and we have built a strong and well respected reputation as a leading provider of residential care and support services to older people in the Corkregion. In more recent years we have developed a particular expertise in the care of those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of Dementia.

Crucially, since 2006 we have made a huge investment in developing our facilities in Mahonwith a view to reaching out and making a real difference to Cork’s elderly community.

We are now at a stage in our development where more funding is required to continue to enhance our standard of care. Currently, the annual cost of running the Home is approx. €9 million and funding from the HSE and other income streams falls considerably short of this… we need to fill the gap!

With this in mind the St Luke’s Home Foundation has been set up as the official fundraising body for St Luke’s Home. The Foundation is responsible for developing giving opportunities and encouraging charitable contributions from within the community towards the work being carried out by the Home.
