Living with Dementia Conference – 23rd April 2015
We are all delighted with the Conference last Thursday and already thinking about next year’s offering!
Here are some testimonials from delegates attending on the day. We are also attaching a recording of our Clinical Nurse Manager, Eileen O Keefe who was interviewed on the Pat Kenny Show yesterday about her presentation ‘Expressing sexuality in Residential Dementia Care’.
‘Prof Jan Dewing’s presentation was of particular interest to me, as I had succumbed to the ‘Zeitgeist of Doom’ regarding Dementia, without realising this. This has huge implications for care giving, information and education. I feel privileged to have heard her speak. She takes person centred care to a new level! As with all St Luke’s conferences I’ve attended, this was excellent’.
‘I found Prof Jan Dewing’s topic very interesting and the way she presented it, her tone drew me in, it was the highest point of the day’.
‘Excellent speakers, especially Time Travel & Dementia by Prof Jan Dewing and Expressing Sexuality by St Luke’s CNM, Eileen O Keefe’.
‘Excellent speakers & presentations, all very knowledgeable on their subjects and easy to listen to’.
‘Excellent, knowledgeable & clear speakers, good choice of topics’.
‘Prof Jan Dewing was excellent and clarified for me that we are all time travelling every day with our Dementia sufferers in our Dementia specific units’.
‘very interesting speakers and presentations. Gave a wide overview of Dementia & Living with Dementia
‘Really enjoyable and informative day, looking forward to next year’.
