Visiting Hours
We welcome visitors to the Home and realise the importance of such visits for the well being of our residents. People in care settings also require times for privacy, peace and quiet. In a situation where a resident is ill, families are free to remain with the person, as they wish. At other times nursing staff may make specific requests for people to leave an area for a time, to facilitate the nurses in their care for the residents. Next of kin/representative may visit at any time. Children must be supervised at all times.
Restaurant Opening Hours
Visitors can purchase hot food and drinks in our restaurant ‘The Oyster’ which is managed by outside contractors QCafe. It is open seven days a week from 8.30 to 5.30.
Feedback
We continually strive to improve our service. We are always delighted to hear good news, but equally acknowledge that you have the right to tell us if you are unhappy about any aspect of our Care and to have your concern investigated, if necessary. In the case of the latter you will be informed of the outcome in accordance with the home’s complaints policy. We encourage residents and families to discuss concerns with the nurse-in-charge of the unit. If you are not comfortable doing this you can contact the Assistant Director of Nursing. If you remain dissatisfied you can refer your concerns, in writing to the Complaints Officer of the home. Click here to download “Complaints” form. An outline of the complaints procedure is posted on the notice board on each unit. Click here to see our ‘Your Home, Your Say’ feedback form.
