Back in 1993 St Luke’s Home held an auction of a football and it sold for 347 pounds!! The ball is a signed football from the 1993 match between Ireland and Northern Ireland, where Ireland qualified for the World Cup in 1994.

The lady who bought the ball at the auction has given it back to St Luke’s Home to fund raise with it; St Luke’s Home were also able to get the match programme from the game. In addition, the goal scorer on the night, Alan Mc Loughlin, sent in an autographed photograph of himself from the night!!

So, St Luke’s are launching an online raffle to help fund raise as all their fundraising events planned are now cancelled.

Tickets go on sale for €10, and the raffle will be held on 14th September.
