Following on from St Luke’s Home’s successful staff challenge last year which involved climbing Ireland’s tallest mountain, Caurauntoohill and raising money for St Luke’s Home and Pieta House, this year we took on another challenge!

On Friday 10th May a group of 22 walked the 12 miles from Mucross House in Killarney’s National Park to Lord Brandons Cottage, returning by boat via the lakes. This year the Staff were raising money for St Luke’s Home and the Mercy Foundation.

The day was a great success with the sun shining for the majority of the time, the scenery was spectacular, we saw nature at its best and even heard the call of the cuckoo! Huge thanks to all for taking part in a fun and healthy event and of course for raising funds for 2 of Cork’s very deserving charities.  Well done!
